About me
I have more than 15 years of combined experience in academia and industry. I have worked at leading roles in addition to research and teaching roles. This includes teaching at UNC Charlotte (USA) as Graduate Assistant during my PhD; NUST (Pakistan); University of Jeddah and currently at State University of New York at Fredonia. I have taught courses in computer science computer networks, software defined networks and programming both at graduate and the undergraduate level.

I have worked in the industry on projects that deal with large scale data such as eBanking applications for renowned Banks. In my most recent industry project I worked on data migration for a large bank in US. In the past I lead a team that developed and maintained eBanking system for Union Bank Limited (now Standard Chartered Bank).

My research interests include:
  • Static Code Analysis
    • Code Grading/Scoring
    • Code Quality Assessment
    • Code Fingerprinting
  • Machine Learning for a wide spectrum of applications
    • Student Progress Monitoring
    • Bacteria Classification
    • Wildlife Fire Detection
    • Crack Detection in Utility Pipes
    • Financial Market Forecasting
  • Software Defined Networks (SDN), Network Virtualization
  • Testing of Virtual Networks, Fault Tolerance
  • Cloud Storage, Efficient Cloud Storage Models
